On 23rd August, 2024, WICCI Karnataka Yoga Council invited Dr.Nidhi Choudhary to have a conversation on understanding menstrual cycles. She is an expert yoga teacher, researcher and a consultant in the yoga field for women. She has done her doctoral work on PCOS which was completely funded by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. Her work has significantly shown how yoga can help in the prevention and resolution of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
She focuses on women's health and has conducted workshops worldwide and worked with the Indian government on yoga certification. She is also a visiting faculty at VAYU Yoga University, Singapore, and the founder of YOGA PLUS Pvt Ltd.

During her talk, Dr. Choudhary discusses what an ideal menstrual cycle looks like and how important it is to understand all the phases of the menstrual cycle so that women can synchronize their lifestyle, diet, and exercise according to these stages and maintain good health. She also speaks about how to recognize the signs of hormonal imbalance and poor menstrual health while stating the fact that menstrual health is a 5th vital sign of determining the state of body health. Factors such as stress, sleep, modern eating and lifestyle habits can disrupt the menstrual cycle and how simple interventions such as seed cycling, yoga practices, and traditional dietary habits can restore hormonal balance. She also provides a deeper insight into premenopausal symptoms and menopause.
